BISP Launches Digital Wallets to Empower Beneficiaries and Boost Financial Inclusion 2025

Islamabad, November 2025 — The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has officially launched its long-awaited digital wallets, revolutionizing how financial aid reaches millions of low-income women across Pakistan.
The initiative aims to ensure direct, transparent, and efficient payments to beneficiaries through secure digital channels, eliminating delays and reducing dependence on manual cash distribution.
A Major Step Toward a Digital Welfare System
Under the new system, each beneficiary will receive a CNIC-linked digital wallet, allowing them to:
- Receive government stipends directly into their accounts,
- Withdraw funds via ATMs, retail agents, or mobile apps, and
- Use their wallets for digital purchases or savings.
The rollout is a collaboration between BISP, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), and leading financial partners such as HBL, UBL, Easypaisa, and JazzCash.
Officials say the move will enhance financial inclusion, promote women’s economic empowerment, and support Pakistan’s Vision 2025 for a cashless society.
